As is many times the case though, a client’s space, tastes, or purpose for a piece calls for a custom made beaded skull. Maria makes this simple by partnering with you, The Interior Designer or Consultant, to achieve exactly what is being envisioned by you and your client.
Maria believes in open & realistic 2-way communication throughout the creative process. Simply contact Maria by phone or email to discuss the details of what you and your client would like to have created and the options available. These are things such as:
Style – I.E. Contemporary, Rustic, Etc.
Breed of Skull- This goes hand in hand with the style of the space being discussed. Of course the size requirements are of paramount importance but also does the space call for an iconic North American skull such as the Bison, Longhorn, Ram, or 10-point Buck or does it call for a more exotic African or Middle Eastern breed such as the Oryx, Kudu or Impala? There are many more breeds available and Maria will discuss any and all with you and make recommendations if there is not a specific request.
Color Scheme – to complement the décor of the room in which it is to be displayed.
Stones & Materials to be used – Maria will make recommendations based on the style and colors you request. If there are specific requests you have for particular stones or materials to be incorporated into your client’s piece please do not hesitate to make this known. She will do everything possible to make this happen and let you know if it will be available or not.
Mounting options – Most skulls can be equipped with hardware for wall hanging or can be mounted on a beautiful custom made, wrought iron stand for displaying on a pedestal, table, or desk.
Lead time and pricing – After a thorough discussion of how you would like your one of a kind piece created Maria will provide for you a written estimate of a realistic lead time and cost. Maria understands how special and important your piece is to you and your client & always maintains open 2-way communications throughout the creative process. Any changes requested by you or by unforeseen circumstances that may alter costs or lead time will be discussed, put in writing, and agreed to prior to going forward
Corporate & Commercial Branding – This is of particular importance for those Designers and Consultants designing and making acquisitions for corporate and commercial clientele. This is a particularly favorite type of project for Ms. D’Souza. Please discuss such things as branded colors, logos, brand identity, & backstory and Maria will take these and incorporate them into the design of the skull. These are incredibly popular for display in corporate offices and boardrooms, lobbies, marketing media and print materials, product unveilings, tradeshows, and conventions.
